Bonilla leads Bears

We thank  boys hoop student manager/statistician extraordinaire Drew Podgorski for providing the stats for this update:

Brewster's Mike Bonilla was on fire, scoring a game-high 27 points in the Bears' 66-56 victory against visiting John Jay (7-8) Feb. 3.

Bonilla accumulated his point total with an incredible night by shooting 12 of 15 from the field and 3 of 4 from the charity stripe.

Teammates Emanuel Simpri and Ryan Mahoney contributed to the win with 13 and 10 points respectively. Brian McNeil and Jack Dignan rounded out the scoring with nine and seven points each for the 10-6 Bears.

 

Girls basketball

girls basketball squad went up against John Jay Feb. 3 with the host Indians coming away with a 58-39 triumph against the Bears.

Scoring machine Raegan Knox led John Jay to the victory by registering a game-high 27 points.

Leading Brewster was Rory Stark, who tallied a team-high 10 points.
