Teen Arrested After Attempted Liquor Store Robbery
The Putnam sheriff says more arrests are expected.

A Connecticut teen faces felony charges in Patterson connected with the attempted robbery of a liquor store.
At about 1:50 a.m. Feb. 29, deputy sheriffs responded to a report of a burglar alarm at Scotty's Putnam Lake Wines and Liquors on Fairfield Drive.
They determined that someone had used a rock to break the glass to the front door of the business -- but had apparently fled when the alarm sounded.

Criminal Investigators from the Sheriff’s Department Bureau of Criminal Investigation, working with detectives from the Danbury Police Department, developed a suspect in the incident -- identified as Sara M. Sadler, of 3 Candlewood Acres Road in Brookfield.
Investigators arrested the 17-year-old March 31 and charged her with Attempted Burglary in the Third Degree and with Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree, felonies. She was processed and turned over to the custody of a parent pending an April 14 appearance in the Town of Patterson Justice Court.

The investigation into this incident continues, and additional arrests are expected, police said.
If found guilty, the suspect could face up to four years in a New York State Correctional Facility and a fine of up to $5,000 for each charge.
