Thomas Anthony Ardizone: Owned Cheers In Brewster
The retired NYPD detective raised his family in Brewster.

Thomas Anthony Ardizone, age 77, passed away at Leesburgh Regional Medical Center in Clermont, FL, on February 15, 2019, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on December 27, 1941 in the Bronx to Anthony and Mary Ardizone (both deceased), he moved to Brewster, NY in 1976, with his wife Frances, to raise their family. Tom served 20 years as a New York City police officer and retired as a detective in 1986, at which time he and Fran ran a local establishment called Cheers - still serving the community, but this time with great food and drink and much laughter.

Tom and Fran relocated to Florida in 1993 to enjoy their retirement and he made the most of his golden years - making many new friends, travelling through the Caribbean on many a cruise ship and making weekly visits to ‘the office’ (otherwise known as the Seminole Hard Rock Casino).
He is survived by his aforementioned wife of 58 years (Frances), daughter Deborah Ann, daughter Michelle and son-in law Robert, son Thomas and daughter-in law Michele, eight grandchildren, Robert, Danny (wife Lindsay), Tiffany (husband Rolando), Michael (wife Danielle), Salvatore (wife Hayley), Ashley, Jesse and Anthony and three great grandchildren Hailey, Maddox and Harper. He is also survived by his sister Lorraine, brother-in law Joseph and nephew Joey.

Tom was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.
