Tompkins Graduates From FBI Academy

The Putnam County Sheriff's Office now has eight active members and 21 past members who have graduated from the FBI National Academy.

Putnam County Sheriff Robert L. Langley, Jr. reports that Road Patrol Captain Harry J. Tompkins III was amongst 251 law enforcement officers who graduated from the FBI National Academy Program at Quantico, Virginia. The 275th Session of the National Academy consisted of men and women from 47 states. Included in the class are members of law enforcement agencies from the District of Columbia, 26 international countries, five military organizations, and fire federal civilian organizations.

Internationally known for its academic excellence, the National Academy Program, held at the FBI Academy, offers ten weeks of advanced communication, leadership and fitness training for selected officers having proven records as professionals within their agencies. On average, these officers have 21 years of law enforcement experience and usually return to their agencies to serve in executive-level positions.

Captain Tompkins is highly respected by all members of the Sheriff’s Office and we are all proud of him for his most recent accomplishment, his graduation from the FBI National Academy. The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office now has eight active members and twenty one past members who have graduated from the FBI National Academy.
