Lane Change Leads To Drug Bust for Brookfield Woman in Southeast
Police stopped her on I-84.

SOUTHEAST, NY — New York State Police from the Brewster barracks arrested Jennifer K. Satallante of Brookfield, Connecticut, on Sept 8 after a traffic stop on I-84. She was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 4th Degree, a Class C Felony, and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a Violation.
Troopers said they stopped the 34-year-old on the interstate for moving from her lane of travel unsafely. Police said while conducting an interview, the trooper smelled marijuana emanating from the vehicle. A subsequent investigation revealed that Satallante possessed about 3.95 grams of marijuana — which is 0.14 ounces — and three paper tabs of LSD.
She was arraigned in the Town of Southeast Justice Court by the Honorable Gregory Folchetti and sent to the Putnam County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond. She is scheduled to reappear in town court on Oct. 12.
