BREWSTER, NY — State police from Troop K removed 27 impaired drivers from local roads during the weekend of Oct. 5. Those included three Putnam County residents and a North Salem resident stopped in Southeast.

On October 6, State Police from SP Brewster arrested Aroldo R. Martinez Meija, 27, of Brewster, NY, for DWI. He was traveling on Main Street in the village of Brewster, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, police allege.

On October 6, State Police from SP Cortlandt arrested Aaron V. Courtman, 37, of Putnam Valley, NY, for DWI. He was traveling on Memorial Drive in the town of Cortlandt, investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, police allege.
On October 7, State Police from SP Somers arrested Maria Avitabile, 24, of Carmel, NY, for DWI. She was traveling on Union Valley Road in the town of Carmel, when she was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that she was impaired by alcohol, police allege.

On October 7, State Police from SP Brewster arrested Rodolfo M. Rodriguez, 51, of North Salem, NY, for DWI. He was traveling on Danbury Road in the town of Southeast, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, police allege.
