Yorktown Man Charged with DWI in Mahopac

Police stopped him at 2:22 a.m. on Route 6.

Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith reports the arrest of a Yorktown man on a DWI charge.

On May 14, 2016 at 2:22 a.m., Deputy Sheriff Jonathan Irwin observed a motorist driving in an erratic manner on Route 6 in Mahopac, and initiated a traffic stop of the vehicle.

The deputy concluded that the driver, identified as Patrik Bores of Yorktown was intoxicated.

The deputy charged him with Driving While Intoxicated, a misdemeanor, after the 32-year-old failed a series of standardized field sobriety tests.

Police allege that Bores was in possession of a quantity of marijuana. The deputy also charged the man with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a violation.

He was processed at the Putnam County Correctional Facility and held pending arraignment.

If found guilty of the misdemeanor charge, he could face up to a year in jail and a fine of up to $1,000, police said.
