• Town to get millions for IBM Quantum project (midhudsonnews.com) — A new IBM Quantum computing deal in the Town of Poughkeepsie would send steady PILOT payments to the Spackenkill Union Free School District instead of traditional taxes, shaping its long‑term funding. Town officials say IBM's $54 million commitment will also underwrite major police, court, and community facility projects without shifting more costs onto local taxpayers.
