If you're a space exploration enthusiast, or even just curious about Earth and space science, please join us for NASA's International Space Apps Challenge, happening all weekend from November 13th to 15th. Our local site on Long Island, Space Apps Brookhaven, will be hosted at Suffolk County Community College's Ammerman campus in Selden. Admission is free, and we've got a lot of fun stuff lined up for this problem solving competition / hackathon!

The hackathon is fast-paced — and it isn't only for techies and coders! Participants of any age (middle school and higher recommended), experience level, or background are welcome, and teams won't be expected to build a fully working product. Instead, NASA wants you to focus on sharing your best ideas, demonstrating your approach, using NASA data, and explaining your vision. Food will be provided and participants who submit a project to NASA will get a free t-shirt. Global winners will get an invitation to attend a NASA rocket launch!
