Construction MOVES AHEAD on New $34 Million Ronald McDonald House at Stony Brook Children's Hospital (longisland.com) — Families with children at Stony Brook Children's Hospital will soon have a nearby 30-room Ronald McDonald House, now under construction and expected to open in late 2027. The $34 million facility will give parents and siblings a comfortable place to stay, share meals, and find support just steps from the hospital during serious medical treatments. 
2. 2 years after storm destroyed Harbor Road, residents still waiting for repairs (news12.com) — Harbor Road in Stony Brook remains washed out two years after a 2024 storm destroyed the dam and drained the beloved duck pond, leaving residents frustrated and detoured.
