Police Use Tattoos In Attempt To Identify Body Found In Water
Do you recognize these tattoos? Police are asking for help to identify a dead body that was found off the Brooklyn Army Terminal last week.
SUNSET PARK, BROOKLYN — Police have released photos of the tattoos on a decomposed dead body that was found in the water at Brooklyn Army Terminal in the hopes that someone might recognize the man.
The man's body, taken out of the water by NYPD's harbor unit last Wednesday morning near 58th Street, is around 6 feet, 320 pounds and appears to be 30 to 40 years old, police said.
He was found wearing a red Casio-G Shock watch and yellow and black sneakers, police said. The tattoos are of a money bag on his left forearm, boxing gloves on his left arm and a "cheat to win" tattoo on his left arm.

It was not clear how the body got into the water.
The New York City Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death and the investigation remains ongoing.
