Vandal Scrawls Anti-Chinese Graffiti On Brooklyn Buildings: Cops
Police are looking for the man who drew hateful messages on Bensonhurst buildings over the weekend.

BROOKLYN, NEW YORK — Police are hunting for the man drawing anti-Chinese graffiti that has caused a public outcry across Brooklyn.
The suspect first crept up to the Green Food Supermarket on 20th Avenue and 85th Street at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday and scrawled “Chinese [women] smell like fish,” according to police and the Daily News.
Police found four hateful messages near 18th Avenue and 73rd Street, New Utrecht Avenue and 85th Street, 20th Avenue and 86th Street and 20th Avenue and 86th Street on Saturday and Sunday, police said.

The United Chinese Association of Brooklyn held a press conference in Bensonhurst to demand the vandal stop scrawling his hate-filled messages on Brooklyn homes and businesses.
Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams offered a $1,000 reward for any information that will lead to the vandal’s capture, Bklyner reported.

And several other politicians have taken to social media to decry the graffiti.

Police released photos of the suspect, who can be seen wearing a cap, shorts and carrying a large bag, early Tuesday morning.
Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to contact police.
