2 Injured in Long Island Expressway Crash

The driver and passenger were injured after their car crashed on the Long Island Expressway Saturday night.

SYOSSET, NY—A driver and passenger were injured following a crash on the Long Island Expressway Saturday night, authorities said.

The driver crashed a Dodge SRT into the center median on the eastbound side of the Long Island Expressway by South Oyster Bay Road in Syosset around 11:35 p.m.

The driver and passenger were taken to Nassau University Medical Center with unknown injuries.

The single car accident closed two lanes of the expressway, while Syosset firefighters, EMS and Nassau County Police Highway units worked at the scene.
