3 Injured In Collision Where Jeep Overturned

Two people were trapped in the Jeep, and it hit a third car when it overturned.

WOODBURY, NY — People were trapped inside a Jeep after it overturned following a collision in Woodbury Saturday morning, officials said.

The Syosset Fire Department responded to Woodbury Road and East Gate Drive at 8:53 a.m. and found that a Jeep and Cadillac collided at the intersection. The Jeep hit a third car after it overturned, as well.

The Syosset FD medic and Nassau police rescued the driver and passenger who were stuck in the Jeep. Three people were transported to Huntington Hospital.

Crews applied speedy dry to a fluid spill in the road. Emergency Service officers turned the Jeep upright, and Woodbury Road was closed in both directions for over an hour.
