AHRC Nassau Announces Walk Grand Marshal
Freeport resident Paul Cullen will lead AHRC Nassau as this year's Grand Marshal for their Annual Walk.

As the AHRC Nassau community is preparing to gather at the starting line, Paul Cullen, AHRC’s Family Services Director and former Director of Camp Loyaltown, has been announced at the Grand Marshal for AHRC’s Annual Walk.
Cullen has been a leader at AHRC for more than 40 years. He began in 1973 at the Freeport Vocational Training Center and has continued to bring joy, happiness and novel experiences to all of the people he has had the honor of working with at AHRC. In time, Cullen’s role expanded to Family Support Services where he began the Family Reimbursement Program and Respite Programming for children and adults.
Most notably, Cullen was the Director of Camp Loyaltown from 1979 to 2013 and as most campers and families would attest, “Paul was Camp Loyaltown.” He left an indelible mark on campers, families and staff alike.

This year’s walk will take place on Sunday, September 13th beginning at 8:30 a.m. at Eisenhower Park. “As large as this event has become, the goal remains the same- to provide a fun, family-friendly experience inclusive of all people and abilities” said Cullen.
Cullen’s passion and perseverance has always been present at the AHRC Walk and AHRC is pleased that he will be leading the walk this year. Cullen’s vision was to have an enjoyable day that would bring everyone together - all the families that AHRC supports, the thousands of people served and all of the dedicated staff.
