• Syosset School District considering partnership with Syosset Public Library (longislandpress.com) — Syosset's school district and public library are weighing an $18 million plan to turn the long-vacant Woodbury School into extra library and homework space instead of demolishing it. Trustees have discussed costs, environmental remediation, and funding, and residents will get to weigh in at a tentatively scheduled Sept. 29 town hall meeting.
