Syosset High School Inducts 252 Students into National Honor Society

Syosset High School recently inducted 252 students into its National Honor Society, according to a press release.

To receive this honor, students must meet several criteria including an overall grade point average of 90 or better, participation in two extracurricular activities throughout their high school career and demonstration of outstanding leadership qualities including community service, the release said. An instructor also must submit a letter of recommendation in support of the student’s character, service leadership, and scholarship.

In addition to meeting the National Honor Society requirements for induction, all 252 Syosset High School inductees demonstrated a commitment to their peers by volunteering  time to provide free tutoring sessions in the Guidance Resource Center, the release said.
