A First For The Syosset Memorial Day Parade- BALLOONS!

HUGE American Flag made of balloons is a tribute to fallen heroes

The balloon crew from Balloons by Amanda participated for the first time in the Memorial Day Parade on May 28th along Jackson Ave in Syosset, NY. The balloon crew walked in the parade carrying a huge 5 x 12 foot American flag made of red, white and blue balloons to honor the military service-poeple who lost their lives defending our country.

Pictured are the 9 person crew, which included Syosset residents Amanda Johnson, Blair Schilling, JoAna Dowd, Diane Strong, Catherine Sender, Matt Burke, and included Jr. crew Olivia Johnson, Sydney Johnson and Matthew Johnson. All wore backpacks of wildly long balloons in patriotic colors.

After the parade the giant balloon flag was placed on display in front of the Syosset VFW hall on Queens St.; which hosted the post parade festivities.
