Five Long Island High Schools Ranked Among Most Challenging In Nation: Report

Check out which local schools made the list.

Five Long Island high schools recently ranked among the most challenging schools in the U.S. according to a list complied by the Washington Post.

Earlier this month, the Washington Post released its 2017 list of the most challenging schools in the country.

The organization ranked the schools by taking the number of Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate and Advanced International Certificate of Education tests given at a school each year and dividing them by the number of seniors who graduated that year. A ratio of 1.000 means the school had as many tests as graduates.
