Free Adoptions At Town Of Oyster Bay Animal Shelter
During the week of Aug. 14, the shelter will be waiving the fees for all dogs and cats.

SYOSSET, NY – In recognition of the International Homeless Animals Day, the Town of Oyster Bay Animal Shelter will be waiving the adoption fee for all dogs and cats this week.
“In recognition of International Homeless Animal Day, we invite residents to come make a new ‘furever’ friend at the Town’s Animal Shelter," Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino said. "Our dedicated staff is happy to assist you in selecting the right furry friend for your family.”
From Monday, August 14 to Saturday, August 19, the shelter will waive the general adoption fees of $80 per dog and $84 per cat.

All usual adoption services will be provided, including the spaying or neutering of the animal, vaccination and microchipping.
The shelter is located on 150 Miller Place in Syosset and is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“Our animal shelter has a wonderful reputation of providing great care to the pets temporarily housed there while waiting for their new homes,” Councilwoman Michele Johnson. “I encourage anyone looking for a new pet to visit the Town’s shelter when looking for a new companion.”
