Syosset McDonald's Fire Sparked By Deep Fryer

SYOSSET, NY — The Syosset Fire Department responded to a fire at the McDonald's located at 571 Jericho Turnpike in Syosset early Wednesday, officials said.

Starting at 5:48 a.m., the fire, which started in the deep fryer, extended to the roof. Multiple departments were called to help.

The fire was under control at 6:45 a.m., and no injuries were reported. Jericho Turnpike was closed westbound, creating major delays for the morning commute.
