Naked Man Found Walking Near 2 Syosset Schools: District

SYOSSET, NY - A man was found walking naked near two Syosset schools on Sunday morning, according to the Syosset School District.

In a statement, the district stated that a man in his early 20s was walking naked through the neighborhood near Willits Elementary School on Nana Place and HB Thompson Middle School on Ann Drive, passing through both campuses.

A resident called police, who responded and took the man into custody in the neighborhood near the elementary school.

"Incidents of this nature are rare and we have taken steps at the district level to prevent this individual’s return," the school district wrote in a statement. "Nevertheless, we are taking appropriate precautions at the building level as well. The incident serves as a reminder to be vigilant and to always report unusual activity to the authorities."
