Big Brother or ensuring safer driving habits?

When you zoom down under the overpass near the intersection of Jericho and Underhill, be warned that someone is watching.
Three red-light cameras sit at that intersection, ready to catch you speed through as the light turns red, according to a map posted on Newsday.
"The county issued a report in October that found Nassau's red-light camera program had reduced traffic accidents by an average of 12 to 16 percent," reported Newsday. On top of driver safety, said the report, they are also expected to rake in $6 million in revenues.
