Syosset Boy Scout Troop 170 Turns 50
Former scoutmasters return for celebration at park.
The former scoutmasters of Syosset Boy Scout Troop 170 don't have to wonder whether they made a difference in the lives of their troops. Last Thursday Troop 170 celebrated its 50th anniversary with a party and ceremony at Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Park in Oyster Bay. Dignitaries like former Boy Scout and Town of Oyster Bay Receiver of Taxes James J. Stefanich were in attendance, but the best part was scoutmasters seeing what great young men their troops had become.
