Syosset Good News of the Week: Syosset Is 2nd Best Place To Raise A Family In NY

Want some relief from all the local bad news? Here's one piece of good news posted on the Syosset Patch recently to help start off your week:

Syosset recently ranked as the No. 2 best place to raise a family in the state, according to Niche.com.

According to its rankings for New York, Long Island towns make up half of the Top 100. Five Long Island towns made the top 10 while 30 towns made the top 50.

For New York, the local community was beat out by Kensington, which ranked as the No. 1 best place to raise a family.

In the national rankings, Devon, Pa., earned top honors. Syosset also made the national list at No. 65.
