Syosset High Schoolers Among Top Scorers On PSAT/NMSQT Test

The seniors were among the 34,000 highest scorers on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.

SYOSSET, NY — Dozens of Syosset High School students have been named commended students by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.

The Syosset Central School District announced Thursday that 30 seniors received the recognition. The students were among the 34,000 highest scorers on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. In other words, they represent the top 5 percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the competition and will receive commendation letters in honorof the achievement.
