Syosset Man Uses Stolen ID Badge to Get Into Northwell Health Building, Steals Laptop: Cops
BREAKING: The 25-year-old is also charged in two recent vehicle larcenies in Syosset.
A 25-year-old Syosset man broke into a Northwell Health building and stole a laptop after he stole an employee ID badge from a car, police said.
Christopher Moffitt-Gabis, 25, is charged with third degree burglary, fourth degree grand larceny and two counts of petty larceny.
According to police, an internal investigation by Northwell Health revealed that Moffitt-Gabis entered a man's car and removed his employee ID badge from the vehicle that was in the parking lot of Northwell Health's Center for Emergency Medical Services at 15 Burke Lane.

Moffitt-Gabis then used the ID to enter the building and gain access to an unauthorized room and remove a laptop computer without the authority to do so, police said.
Further police investigation after the arrest revealed that Moffitt-Gabis was also responsible for two additional larcenies from two separate cars, both located on Jericho Turnpike in Syosset on Sept. 28 and Oct. 7.
