Run harder, run smarter, and run for a cause Monday at . The boys and girls track teams is taking challengers to run to benefit the Michael Lewis Wolkis Miles of Smiles Foundation.

According to the Miles of Smiles website, the foundation raises money for scholarships to seniors in high school "who have excelled academically, athletically, and have exhibited exemplary humanitarian characteristics." They also raise funds for non-profit research of brain and neurological injuries, as well as funds for sports equipment for children in need.

The run begins Monday at 2:30 p.m. on the Syosset High School track.
