Residents gathered Wednesday to happily christen a brand new traffic light in Oyster Bay.
The light, at Pine Hollow Road and Pine Hill Terrace, has been anticipated by many residents living in the area, particularly the a nearby apartment complex.
In Syosset, the last "long-awaited" traffic light was installed on Cold Spring Road at Syosset-Woodbury Road.
