Truck Bursts Into Flames On Long Island Expressway; Long Delays
BREAKING: Officials say two lanes and an entrance ramp were closed for more than an hour.

JERICHO, NY — A truck burst into flames Monday morning on the Long Island Expressway and officials said two westbound lanes were forced to close, causing major delays. The truck caught fire around 6:15 a.m. Monday near Jericho Turnpike, officials told Patch.
Two westbound lanes on the expressway were closed for more than an hour. The entrance ramp from the turnpike was also blocked.
Jericho firefighters extinguished the blaze, which started in the rear brakes, officials said. The flames did not spread to the contents of the truck. No one was hurt.
