Upcoming Event In Syosset Helps Older Adults 'Age In Place'
On Wednesday, Jan. 22, the Seniors of Syosset will host 'Home Care 101' from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Syosset library.
SYOSSET, NY—Seniors of Syosset (SOS), a new program from the Mid-Island Y Jewish Community Center, is offering services to help older adults "age in place."
On Wednesday, Jan. 22, the JCC will host "Home Care 101" from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Syosset library. The public is invited.
Organizers will discuss types of home care (companion care, home health aide services and nursing care) as well as funding sources (long-term care insurance, Medicaid, Medicare and private pay).

There will also be an opportunity for attendees to ask questions.
The event will be presented by Caring People Home Healthcare.
