UPDATE: Premium LIRR Parking Plan Nixed by Town of Oyster Bay Officials
The proposed plan would have sold spaces at several local parking lots for $100 a month.
Town of Oyster Bay officials announced on Tuesday that they will not be going through with the proposed premium parking plan for several local LIRR lots.
The proposed plan was to offer residents 852 premium parking spaces at its busiest parking lots in Bethpage, Hicksville Syosset and Massapequa.
Under the plan, a parking space at one of the lots would have sold at $100 per month.

However, due to "overwhelming feedback" the Town has received from local residents regarding the plan, the Town Board will no longer be considering this proposal, according to a message on the Town Board's website.
