Van, Car Collide On Long Island Expressway Ramp; 8 Hurt

BREAKING: Officials say an exit ramp on the Long Island Expressway was closed for more than an hour.

JERICHO, NY — Eight people were hurt Friday morning when a car collided with a van on a ramp of the Long Island Expressway in Jericho, officials said.

Firefighters and emergency medical workers were called around 9:45 a.m. to the expressway, near North Broadway, officials said.

The injured were all rushed to Nassau University Medical Center. They are expected to survive.

The exit ramp on the westbound lanes of the expressway to North Broadway was closed for more than an hour.
