The new option allows customers to make payments by money order, certified funds, check, or cash. While use of the drop box does not allow for the City to make change or provide receipts, appointments for in-person payment may be arranged under limited hours and staffing. Transactions made through the drop box should include the corresponding bill or ticket and are only accessible to authorized city personnel.
Card payments can be made online by going to bit.ly/syrgov-propertytaxbills for tax payments, and bit.ly/syrgov-payments for parking tickets, water bills and other payments. Any bills paid by mail should have checks, money orders, or certified funds made payable to: Commissioner of Finance, City Payment Center, 233 E. Washington St. – Rm 116-122, Syracuse, NY 13202.
