Indian Woman Killed In Tarrytown Crash ID'd By Police: UPDATE

Three others taken to the hospital had injuries that were not life-threatening.

TARRYTOWN, NY — The Indian woman killed in a rollover crash in Tarrytown has been identified by the police. Bina Chopra, whose age was not available from the police, was a resident of India in the United States to attend a wedding.

She was one of four people taken to the hospital after the crash Saturday around 10 p.m., the Journal News said.

The other three people had non-life-threatening injuries.

TARRYTOWN, NY — A woman from India, in the area to attend a wedding, was killed Saturday when the car she and others were in crashed off Route 9 in Tarrytown. The crash, in which three others were injured, happened around 10 p.m.

When they got to the scene, police found a vehicle that was flipped over in the backyard of a Park Avenue house, the Journal News said.

The investigation into the accident is ongoing, but police said the car went through part of the Washington Irving Intermediate School property before ending up in the backyard.

The victims' identities have not been released.
