2 Arrested With Loaded Gun On Thruway: Police
Police said there were drugs in the vehicle, too.

GREENBURGH, NY — Two men who were stopped for a traffic violation on I-87 ended up facing felony weapon possession charges. State police said they pulled the pair over around 9:12 p.m. June 23 on the Thruway in the Town of Greenburgh.
While interviewing the driver, Craig A. Nugent Jr., 42 of Ludlow, VT, it was established that there was probable cause to search his car and the occupants.
Nugent and his passenger, Zaquikon T. Roy, 30, of Brooklyn, were found to be in possession of a loaded hand gun, about 1.45 grams of suboxone, 1 gram of marijuana and 8.05 grams of buprenorphine/naloxone, police said.

Both men were taken into custody.
Nugent was charged with second-degree possession of a weapon (loaded firearm), a felony, unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation and multiple vehicle and traffic violations.

Roy was charged with second-degree possession of a weapon (loaded firearm), a felony, two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanors, and two counts of controlled substance in non-original container, violations.
They were arraigned in the City of White Plains Court and sent to the Westchester County Jail with no bail.
Both Nugent and Roy are scheduled to appear in the Town of Greenburgh Court June 26.
