23 Hudson Valley High Schools Make Washington Post 'Most Challenging' List

The number of tests students took was compared to how many graduated.

The Washington Post recently released its list of America’s Most Challenging High Schools, and three Hudson Valley high schools were ranked in the top 300.

A little more than 2,300 high schools nationwide achieved an index score of 1 or higher.

The score was achieved by examining for the number of Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate and Cambridge tests given at a particular school every year and that was divided by the number of seniors who graduated.

A score of 1 means the school had as many tests in 2015 as it had graduates.
