Phelps Hospital and Town of Mt. Pleasant present a day-long event of activities and athletic challenges for adults 55 years and older

Phelps Hospital and the Town of Mount Pleasant invite the public to participate in the Second Annual Autumn Games for Seasoned Adults scheduled for Saturday, September 9, from 8:00 am until 4:30 pm. The games will take place at The Mount Pleasant Community Center located at 125 Lozza Drive, Valhalla.
Autumn Games is a unique event with activities and athletic challenges to provide an enjoyable experience and help inspire participants to lead more active, healthy lifestyles.
Physical activity is essential to healthy aging. Regular exercise can alleviate many health problems, such as high blood pressure and diabetes. It also can strengthen muscles, which can help prevent falls. Autumn Games offers a wonderful opportunity to get some exercise by participating in activities that are comfortable for your fitness level. Participants can engage in competitive events such as badminton, pickleball, bocce ball, an obstacle course and a scavenger hunt or in more low-key activities offered in the Phelps Pavilion. Swimmers can enjoy the pool throughout the day. Each of the events will take place at different times. A schedule of events and registration forms can be found at www.phelpsevents.org.
