AMBER Alert Canceled for Pennsylvania Child: UPDATE

Police believe the suspect may be in the New York City area.

An AMBER Alert has been issued Friday for 3-year-old child who was thought to be abducted.

New York State Police are looking for Ava Byrne, a white girl with curly brown hair and hazel eyes.

She is approximately 2 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs about 28 pounds.

Ava was last seen wearing a light pink shirt, pink capri pants and pink "Dora" shoes.

The suspect is Robert Byrne, a white male, about 34 years old with black hair and brown eyes.

He is about 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs about 215 pounds.

Robert Byrne is believed to be driving a silver Hyundai Elantra with a Pennsylvania license plate number HKB4681. It was last seen traveling west heading to Manhattan.

Police said the suspect took the child under circumstances that lead police to believe the child is in imminent danger. Robert Byrne may be in the New York City area.

Anyone with information on a report or a sighting is asked to call the Pennsylvania State Police at 1-866-NYS-AMBER or dial 911.
