Sleepy Hollow Chiropractor to serve as a Venue  Medical Director

for JCC Maccabi Games, August 12-17

Sleepy Hollow, NY — Jeffrey Friedman, D.C., clinical director at All County Chiropractic in Sleepy Hollow, will be volunteering his services to serve as a Venue Medical Director for the upcoming JCC Maccabi Games. Held this year in neighboring Rockland County, the week long Olympic-style event will take place starting this Monday, August 12-17 at various locations throughout the county, with the main hub being Rockland Community College Field house in Suffern. Opening ceremonies are being held Sunday and are expected to attract over 5000 attendees.

The JCC Maccabi Games brings together over 1,250 Jewish teen athletes from around the world. The event will also engage over 1,000 volunteers, 600 host families, and thousands of spectators. The JCC Maccabi Games provides a unique combination of sports competition with cultural and social activities. Delegations from throughout the United States, Canada, Latin America, Europe and Israel will not only test their physical skills, but also participate in a cultural journey while learning the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, compassion, and community.

 

As a Venue Medical Director, Dr. Friedman will be one of over 1,000 involved professionals, donating their time in some capacity for this worthy cause. His expertise not only includes the latest techniques in chiropractic care, but sports medicine and nutrition. He will be coaching and counseling the young athletes — helping them play their best, while being safe in the process. Says Dr. Friedman: “The Maccabi Games is such a worthy cause that promotes goodwill, friendly competition and well-being. I consider it an honor to be part of it.”
