Barnes & Noble has opened their new Hartsdale bookstore. The store is located in the Dalewood II shopping center (381 North Central Ave, Hartsdale, NY 10530) adjacent to Ulta Beauty, in the same center as H Mart. T. The new location showcases the highly lauded bookstore design seen in the most recent Barnes & Noble store openings, housing all the best books, toys, games and gifts that customers have come to expect from the nation's premier bookseller.
This is great news for our town. About a decade ago Barnes & Noble closed a Hartsdale store (near the 4 corners). That closing led to more vacancies on Central Ave. It's my hope that the new Barnes & Noble store will encourage more businesses to consider Greenburgh and Central Ave as a preferred location for their business -helping us replace vacant stores with vibrant new businesses.
