Cable Stays Being Installed on New Westchester-Bound TZB Side

TARRYTOWN, NY — The Westchester-bound span of the new Tappan Zee Bridge is having support cables installed.

While about 50 of the stay cables have been installed on the Rockland side, the Westchester-side installation started last week, according to an article at the Journal News.

There will be 192 cables that will support the road deck of the main span when they are all installed.
