Con Ed reported $201 million in quarterly profits-we suffered

Con Ed refused to prepare for storm that left us powerless while they made millions

Con Ed website 999 customers in unincorporated Greenburgh are without power . this evening. I'm hopeful that everyone will have there power back sometime tonight or tomorrow. It's very stressful, hot, uncomfortable and the lack of accurate projections creates tremendous anxiety.

Meanwhile, while thousands of Greenburgh residents were without power for days Con Ed reported 201 million in quarterly earnings. Is it possible that one reason is because they don't hire the crews they need to respond quickly to outages like the one we just experienced? I continue to believe that the State Legislature should empower the Governor to overrule Con Ed if they don't hire crews from out of state before a storm. The Governor should have the ability to order Con Ed to hire crews and obtain the equipment needed. If Con Ed had adequate crews before the storm, we would not have experienced this crisis. Also think the Governor should train the National Guard to immediately respond anytime there is an outage. See link to the Business Journal article:
