Connecticut Teen Accused of Killing Mother Apprehended in Sleepy Hollow

A Connecticut teen accused of killing his mother was taken into custody by police in Sleepy Hollow on Friday.

A Connecticut teen accused of killing his mother was taken into custody by police in Sleepy Hollow on Friday.

Torrington Police were investigating a missing persons complaint on Nov. 6, according to police. They went to 30 Forest St. in Torrington and located a female body that was later identified as Wendy Hulme, 49.

Through the course of the investigation Hulme’s son, Nicholas Hulme was determined to be a person of interest, according to Torrington Police.

Nicholas Hulme was taken into custody by the Sleepy Hollow Police Department as a fugitive from justice.

Torrington Police secured an arrest warrant that charges Hulme with murder and third-degree larceny. He will be extradited to Connecticut and served with the warrant at a future date.

The cause and manner of death will be determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
