Deer Rescued From Frozen Lake: WATCH
The animal was not able to get its footing on the frozen lake and could not get to shore.
POCANTICO HILLS, NY — Members of the Sleepy Hollow Fire Department’s ice rescue team rescued a deer that had become trapped on a frozen lake and couldn’t get footing to get to shore. Sleepy Hollow Fire Chief John Korzelius crawled his way onto the ice and eventually was able to grab the animal’s leg.
Korzelius told the Journal News that it was one of his more interesting calls.
