drop off socks, toys for the less fortunate Greenburgh Twn Hall

our annual holiday drive

DROP OFF SOCKS AND OTHER SUPPLIES FOR THE LESS FORTUNATE AT TOWN HALL Elena Angelos has lived in Greenburgh since 1972. She loves volunteering. And has served as one of our snow angels. She recently started volunteering with Paws Crossed, the no kill animal shelter in Elmsford and she has started volunteering at Maria Fareri and helping with Volunteer NY. Her latest initiative: a sock bundle drive. A box has been placed at the lobby of Greenburgh Town Hall. Please drop off socks, toiletries and a handwritten note. Each ziplock bag should contain 1 pair of new/unworn men's or women's socks, 1 non holiday message and 2 full size items such as disposable razors/shaving cream, ladies sanitary products, deodorant, men or women, toothbrush, toothpaste, comb or brush, body lotion (high need). If your children are involved they should write a note that can be given to the recipients. Last year Volunteer NY/Tarrytown received 900 bundles that were given to the less fortunate. The SOCK BUNDLE drive is a great way to get my community involved especially the children. They love writing the notes that go in the SOCK BUNDLE bags. DROP OFF TOYS FOR TOTS AT TOWN HALL A box has been located at the lobby of Town Hall--new, unwrapped toys only sponsored by Marine Corps Reserve. Help the less fortunate. PAUL FEINER
