Elmsford Police Officer - Struck by a Car - Remains in Critical Condition
The officer's name has been revealed.

Elmsford Police Officer Kenneth Gumbs, 45, has been identified as the off-duty member of the force who was struck by a car Sunday night in Hawthorne.
Gumbs remains in critical, but stable, condition at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, according to Mount Pleasant Police Chief Paul Oliva, as reported by The Journal News.
A Hawthorne resident, Gumbs was walking across Bradhurst Avenue near Chateau Lane at about 8:20 p.m. when he was hit by a car licensed to the Westchester Taxi and Limousine Commission, according to police. The driver of the vehicle has not been charged or publicly identified, but they stopped immediately and called the police, writes The Journal News.
