App to help report bullying, cyberbullying, weapons use, drug/alcohol usage and more

The Elmsford Union Free School District announces its partnership with Anonymous Alerts®, an anti-bullying and safety reporting mobile app that helps report bullying, cyberbullying, weapons use, drug/alcohol usage, and potentially violent acts in schools.
Elmsford is the latest district in Westchester County to partner with the White Plains-based company.
The adoption of the Anonymous Alerts app expands the district’s vision of prioritizing student achievement by providing a safe, healthy and secure learning environment for all students.

“We seek to optimize teaching and learning for student achievement by providing the highest quality educational experience possible,” said Superintendent Dr. Marc P. Baiocco.
“It is crucial to provide students with the most advanced open communication channels available. We feel that Anonymous Alerts empowers students to effectively use these communication tools and express their concerns in a safe and secure setting that allows our dedicated school staff to take quick action,” he added.

Every report submitted is completely anonymous, unless the submitter decides to reveal his or her identity. Report submitters can also attach a photo, video or screenshot with their report as a way of providing additional information to school officials. The app will allow school officials to view, track and reply to reports in real time.
Students, parents, and staff can download the Anonymous Alerts® app for free and can gain access to the service with a simple activation code to be provided by the district.
Users can also access a web-based version on the district website, where they can place reports directly to school officials. The system is available in English, Spanish and a multitude of other languages. It will be monitored during school days between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
“We are excited to partner with the Elmsford School District to help students communicate sensitive issues in real time to school officials,” said T. Gregory Bender, President & CEO of Anonymous Alerts, LLC.
