Elmsford's High School Spring Show a Sold-Out Success
Students Take on Disney's "High School Musical"

The Alexander Hamilton Jr./Sr. High School Drama Club in the Elmsford Union Free School District outdid themselves this year with their performance of Disney’s “High School Musical,” which was performed in the high school auditorium March 23 and 24.
The contemporary musical comedy, which was coordinated by the high school’s band/music director Rob Jacoby, is the story of a popular high school basketball star, played by Chris Yeosock, and a shy, academically gifted newcomer, played by Katelyn Steel, who discover they share a secret passion for singing.
The show includes a number of well-known musical numbers such as “Start of Something New,” “What I’ve Been Looking For” and “We’re All in This Together,” among other tunes.

Mr. Jacoby, who worked with the students for two months prior to the show’s debut, said they all did a wonderful job.
“They were amazing,” he said after the final performance. “I am lucky to work with such hard-working, dedicated students and staff.”

Adding to the excitement was the fact that several graduates of the Drama Club showed up for the last night’s performance.
The show's director and choreographer, Lexie Fennell Frare, spent countless hours training the students, as well as the co-musical director, Dana Mancuso, who is Hamilton's new chorus teacher.
Sabrina Doolittle handled all of the technical aspects of the show, including training a fantastic stage crew who moved scene-to-scene with ease, and mathematics teacher Lori Schulze designed and made the costumes.
“The team is an impressive example of what Hamilton has to offer,” said Mr. Jacoby.
