GREENBURGH, New York --- Home Heating & Energy Savings: What You Need to Know, will be presented on Thursday, October 13, 2011 from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm at Greenburgh Town Hall, 177 Hillside Avenue (also known as Rt 100) in the town of Greenburgh.

This panel discussion, led by experts in the field, will provide what homeowners need to know about home energy audits, home insulation, energy-efficient heating systems, sustainable energy alternatives and how to apply for rebates and financial incentives that are currently available through various government agencies and utilities.
Speakers will include Bonnie Hagen of Bright Energy Services, Andrew Fischer of Bright Home Energy Solutions, Jay Latella of Yost & Campbell, Chris Hale of SunBlue Energy. Elizabeth Silleck, a Coordinator for the Energy $mart Communities Program, an outreach project of the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) and Matthew H. Phillipsof ConEd/Honeywell will speak about incentive and rebate programs that can help defray the costs of energy upgrades.
Following the panel presentation, there will be a Q&A session and light refreshments will be served.
The program, open FREE of charge to the public, was conceived by a recent homebuyer and sustainable energy marketer, Tara Framer of Tara Framer Design, after she encountered many obstacles and a steep learning curve when she hired various contractors to make her 60-year old Tarrytown home more energy-efficient.
